Wireless Communications, Trinity College Dublin
I am a Senior Researcher in the Wireless Communications Group of CTVR based at Trinity College Dublin. I received
my Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, in March 2008. From 1998 to 2003, I was a R&D Engineer and Software Architect at Nortel Networks/Netaş. I joined Turkcell İletişim Hizmetleri A.Ş. in 2003, where I worked as an Expert in the Network Platform Development Department until June 2005. My research interests include signal processing for wireless communications, cognitive radio, reconfigurable systems and 4G networks. I'm currently a Guest Editor (with Luiz DaSilva, Linda Doyle and Tim Forde) of a special issue in the Elsevier Journal on Physical Communication (PHYCOM), entitled 'Cognitive Radio for LTE Advanced and Beyond'.

Cognitive Radio & Reconfigurable Systems
The main focus of my research is in cognitive radio and next generation wireless networks. In addition to theoretical research, I'm interested in industry-oriented research and implementation of prototype systems.
